The site encapsulates the unique spirit of the brand whilst also embracing the emerging responsive trend in web site design. By doing so HMKM have ensured that the totality of the site can be seamlessly experienced across all digital platforms as and when a prospective guest or travel agent so desires. This website, the second by HMKM for Firmdale Hotels, brings to life each of the 8 unique hotels with a vibrant evocation of its interiors and neighbourhood, through use of fabulous imagery and video content all generated by the Firmdale Hotels in house marketing and PR team. Stylistically, Emma Simons, associate director at HMKM says: ‘There’s a particular feeling evoked in each hotel. They are very individual and special. Kit has an incredible creative eye but also a playfulness with texture and colour. Online is not usually a textural experience. It was important we captured and reflected this within the digital design’. Navigation is simple, seamless and intuitive. Says Emma: ‘It looks great but it was really important to have fantastic functionality. It was our objective from the start to ensure a very user friendly experience.’ To this end, HMKM and their long standing programming partner - Naish Creative Imaging - have worked closely to refine and improve the booking process to bring it more in line with the Firmdale customer service ethic.
