Warby Parker is an American online eyewear brand, with a few flagship stores based in the states.
The Miami store experience was really fun - and held in a trendy up and coming part of the city within the art quarter.
The store is located on a sunny open corner, with full glazing across the front and side. As we walked in we were welcomed to ‘our swimming pool’ and realised that the whole store has been designed as if being at the bottom of a pool. It’s a clever concept as it makes the most of the sun shining in and the reflections of the glass, walls and flooring to enhance the effect of water.
The store has a clean and slightly industrial feel which fits within the surroundings, with a personal service desk in the middle. All ordering is done on the shop floor through iPads. There’s a huge seat by the front entrance next to an iPad on the wall - where you can input your email details, try on some glasses, sit back and relax. There’s also a camera in the ceiling above that takes your picture and emails you in order to see how they look and share with friends. For every pair of glasses purchased they also donate a pair to a child in need somewhere in the world.
